By leaving a gift to Munchkins Miniature Shetland Rescue in your will, you're helping us to be there for the many ponies that need our help.

Everyone should have a will. If you die without making a will, the law decides what happens to your property and possessions and this may lead to difficulties for your loved ones. It is particularly important to make or update your will if you have recently married, had children, become ill, been bereaved or experienced a significant change in your circumstances.

It is possible to make your own will but even basic wills must comply with legal formalities. We recommend using a solicitor to help you. If you would like to leave a legacy to Munchkins in your will, the solicitor will need our charity name (Munchkins Miniature Shetland Rescue) and our registered charity number (1160509).

If you do decide to write your own will, the following wording may be of assistance to you: 

The gift of the residue of an estate
I give to Munchkins Miniature Shetland Rescue of COLYTON, Devon EX24 6RY, Registered Charity No. 1160509, all (or a percentage of) the residue of my estate to be applied for its general purposes and I declare that the receipt of the Chief Executive or other proper officer shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the same.

A gift of a specific legacy
I give to Munchkins Miniature Shetland Rescue of COLYTON, Devon EX24 6RY, Registered Charity No. 1160509, the sum of £…………………..to be applied for its general purposes and I declare that the receipt of the Chief Executive or other proper officer shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the same.
